Project Reporting

We all know that knowledge sharing and collaboration is key in any project. The Project Manager needs information about the status of all the requirements, he further requires testresults and executions, would need some analysis about the severity of certain requirements, implementation risks etc, indication of potential delays, or proper documentation and arguments for a postponing of the deliverables; the Stakholder needs to know if someone is working on his requirement and by when he could expect the implementation, i.e. in which Release; IT needs to understand complexity of upcoming requirements to do a proper development planning a.s.o.

Unfortunately almost all existing projects suffer due to inconsistent or non-existent information. PMO may have to collect various data from word, excel, power point, Jira or any other System to then consolidate the information for the PM. This again is not state of the art and extremely time consuming.

A modern project setup includes the whole Software Life Cycle Process and would have an integrated reporting, ideally based on a Datawarehouse. So each project member could then get web-based sophisticated online reporting according to the project role they play. That way everybody has the same consistent information available on different views.
